3GD is a remix and reinvention of two tracks from the Riot Season release ‘One’ released in September 2019. It is a krautathonic excursion of reverberations, hollow rhythms and stun guitars, all set
against the midnight revival of Mad Professor or Scientist. Baroque psych and Vaughan Williams choral music drift amongst the hashish smoke of ‘Goin’ West’; a track that was only hinted at on ‘One’ but
now fully realised in all its 20 minutes joyfulness. The YO-YO man gets dubbed to Chrome meets Can before dissolving into a ghost train of rhythms and glissando before the air traffic controller instructs us to
‘keep your speed up’. The only outsider ‘No Deal Dub’ was recorded in 2018 as an antithesis of (now we are so bored with) Brexit but could be a soundtrack to anything, anywhere.
So, Think CAN, think Chrome, the Rite albums of Julian Cope, the echoes of ‘Tarot’ and the emptiness of ‘Parallel World’. Its dub Jim, but not as we know it…..
